** Applicants who have renounced their Turkish citizenship must upload their Blue Cards along with their passports as a single file. - High School Diploma or an official document indicating your eligibility to graduate: Please upload either a copy of your high school diploma certified by the Turkish Consulate or an official document taken from your high school indicating your eligibility to graduate.

**Applicants who apply with GCE should enter abbreviated titles and grades of the A Level subjects into the field of "Exam Detail-Description". They can type 0 in the Numerical Score box.
**Applicants who will not be able to get their diploma grades within application period due to COVID19 restrictions, can apply with a document indicating their expected/predicted grades. This document must be issued and certified by their high school. Applicants who applied with “Expected/Predicted Grades” will forfeit their rights to register in the event that they fail to meet the predicted grades. - Choice of Program: Please enter into this field the programs you want to apply to, starting with your first choice.
- After checking and saving the information you entered, you can download your application form by clicking on “Print”, and then log out.
After signing in the application program with the user name and password sent to you, please select “2023 - 2024 Academic Year International Student Admission to Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs". Please click on one of the programs you want to apply to and open the information form with the “Add New Application” button. After filling in the required sections in the numbered tabs below, you can add and edit your other program preferences, if any, in the last step of the application.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
- Foreign nationals (provided that those who are studying in secondary education institutions (high schools) in Türkiye have enrolled before the 2022-2023 academic year [except for embassy schools, international private education institutions included in the MOBIS system and foreign nationals brought to Türkiye within the framework of the project carried out by the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye]),
- Those who were Turkish citizens by birth but have renounced their Turkish citizenship and holders of the Blue Card issued upon request to those who have renounced their Turkish citizenship (provided that those who are studying in secondary education institutions (high schools) in Türkiye have enrolled before the 2022-2023 academic year), (According to the Turkish Citizenship Law, those who were born in Türkiye or abroad to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a conjugal union are Turkish citizens by birth. Therefore, Turkish citizens applying as an international student are advised to read the aforementioned law),
- Those who are foreign nationals by birth but have acquired Turkish citizenship later and therefore hold dual citizenship (provided that those who are studying in secondary education institutions (high schools) in Türkiye have enrolled before the 2022-2023 academic year),

- Among Turkish nationals who attended secondary education abroad before the date of 01/02/2013, those who completed the last three years of their secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), (including those who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye in a foreign country, other than the TRNC),
- Among Turkish nationals who started secondary education abroad after the date of 01/02/2013, those who completed their entire secondary education (high school) in a foreign country other than the TRNC, (including those who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) in Turkish schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye in a foreign country, other than the TRNC),
- Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who reside in the TRNC and have completed secondary education in the TRNC and have GCE A Level results; and those who have been enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results are eligible to apply to Hacettepe University as an international student.
- Turkish citizens who have completed their secondary education entirely in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,
- Those who are citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except for applicants who have completed their secondary education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have GCE A Level results and those who have been enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results),
- Dual citizens who are Turkish citizens by birth as specified in Article 2 of the Eligibility criteria (except for those who fulfill the conditions of Article 4);
- Holders of dual citizenship one of which is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except for those who have completed their secondary education in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and have their GCE A Level results and those who have been enrolled in foreign high schools abroad between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results),
- Turkish citizens who have completed their secondary education in schools affiliated to the embassies or in foreign high schools located in Türkiye; or holders of dual citizenship, one of which is Turkish by birth as specified in Article 2 of the Eligibility criteria;
- Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, those who have renounced their Turkish citizenship/Blue Card holders and foreign nationals who have enrolled in secondary education institutions in Türkiye as of the 2022-2023 academic year are not eligible to apply to Hacettepe University as an international student.
- Hacettepe University has full authority to evaluate the applications and to admit the applicants. It is at the discretion of Hacettepe University to fill the quota. Meeting the application requirements does not guarantee admission to Hacettepe University.
- Applications with national or international test scores or certificates of secondary education, other than those listed hereby, will not be taken into consideration.
- Applicants are not charged any application fees.
- The application process will be conducted online and all the documents will be submitted through the application portal. Applications sent via mail/postal system or e-mail will not be taken into consideration.
- During the registration process; applicants admitted to a program will be asked to provide the original copies of their documents. Those with discrepancies between the information provided online and the documents provided during the registration will be considered to have forfeited their right to register.
- The applicant must provide their own email address and phone number on the application portal and be actively using them. If necessary, the applicant will be contacted by phone and/or email.
- Eligible applicants who are shortlisted at the end of the initial evaluation will be invited for an interview with Hacettepe University’s Commission for International Student Admission; and then they will be admitted to the programs accordingly. Interviews will be conducted online.
- Hacettepe University Board of Directors reserves the authority to carry out an additional placement after the registration process has been completed.
- Admission to associate degree programs is based on the scores submitted and applicants are not invited for an interview.
- Fachabitur is not recognized for international student applications.
- It is of great importance for the applicants to check the department they are applying for; whether it is an Associate Degree program (offering a two-year education) or a Bachelor’s Degree Program (offering a four-year education), as well as the special conditions provided. Durations of the programs are indicated in the list of quotas.
- Applicants who are admitted to a program will receive an acceptance letter from Hacettepe University, upon request.
Candidates who have finished a secondary education institution equivalent to a Turkish high school are eligible to apply for associate and undergraduate programs at Hacettepe University, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Secondary Education Certificate/High School Diploma and its translation by a sworn translator in case it is in a language other than English or Turkish. The school awarding the certificate, embassies, consulates or notaries are regarded as certifying authorities. Uncertified diplomas will not be taken into consideration.
- Exam Scores: Validity periods of SAT, ACT and TQDK are two years from the date of the exam. Applicants who apply with SAT scores must make sure that their official score report is sent to Hacettepe University by ETS until the date of registration (Hacettepe University SAT Code: 7661)
- Application Form: The form will be available on our web page from May 29, 2023,
- Photograph of the page of the passport containing the applicant's photo,
- A passport-sized photo (biometric) will be uploaded onto the application system.
- Applicants who hold dual citizenship (one of which is Republic of Turkey), must submit a certificate of identity register and the photograph of the identity card,
- Applicants who apply pursuant to the Article 4 of the eligibility criteria must submit a certified document which states the complete fulfillment of secondary education abroad (A certified document from the school graduated or a transcript covering all years must be obtained).
- Applicants who hold Blue Card (the card given to those who renounce their Turkish citizenship) must attach a copy to their application.

TUITION FEES
Tuition fee is paid in two installments at the beginning of each semester, except for preparatory classes and the Faculty of Medicine. For preparatory classes and the Faculty of Medicine, the annual tuition fee is paid all at once at the beginning of the academic year. The dates for tuition payment are announced on the website of the Student Affairs Office prior to the week of course registration. Those who have graduated from Turkish high schools abroad, which are determined by the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities, do not pay tuition fees within the normal education period.

APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION
Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901. As per the provision in Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901 stating that “(1) A child born to a Turkish mother or father within the unity of marriage either in Turkey or abroad is a Turkish citizen”, you are deemed a Turkish citizen, even if you were born in a foreign country and have dual citizenship. In this case, if you have studied high school in Turkey, your application as an international student will be considered invalid.
However, you can apply as an international student in the event of renouncing your citizenship and obtaining a Blue Card, which is an official card given to those who are Turkish citizens by birth and renounce citizenship by his/her own will.
If you are not a Turkish citizen by birth, but acquired it later, you can apply as an international student even if you have studied high school in Turkey, by documenting your situation with a certificate of identity register.
According to the principles of the Higher Education Council (YÖK in Turkish); if you have started your high school education earlier than 01 February 2013, then you must study the last three years of high school education in a foreign country; whereas you must fulfill your education entirely in a foreign country, in case you have started your education later than the date in question.

Students who certify their later acquisition of Turkish citizenship are not subject to this quota limit.

Application for accommodation is made through the dormitory application screen on the website of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS). After the initial registration to the university, the list of documents required for a residence permit will be sent to your e-mail addresses. You can also find this list on our website. You must submit these documents to Student Affairs Office in person or by post within 30 days of your initial registration. The university submits your documents to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for your first residence permit application after the initial registration. However, students who fail to submit their documents within a month or will apply for a residence permit extension later during the study period should handle the residence permit process themselves.
Foreign students attending an associate, undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate Programme in Turkey may work, provided that they obtain a work permit. However, the right to work for associate and undergraduate students starts after the first year(of their study). Work permit applications are made to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Yes, if you are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, you can apply for a transfer after studying for at least two (2) semesters, or at least one (1) semester in the case of an associate degree program, provided that you have achieved a minimum 2.75/4 GPA and the program you wish to transfer to offers a quota to the program you are enrolled in.
